A Message from MacLarry

First I kinda drew this for back for her b-day we actually were talking and I thought might as well.
So this is also my Quick Review of “MacLarry and The stinky Cheese War”.

This was actually pretty fun. But it definitely felt a little like a cheap version of DreamWorks’ “How to Train Your Dragon” atleast in the father son relationship. Which I don’t know; this might just be because Dreamworks owns the veggies that I draw these Parallels.
So I’m gonna avoid Spoilers in case you haven’t seen this. But the basic synopsis is about a continued feud between veggies from Rome and Scotland which is fought out in true veggie fashion with pranks. The Great Chog Norrious (a play on Chuck Norris), leads the scotts against the Roman. (Bonus points if you can tell me Mr. Lunt’s name in this ep.) Chog’s s son MacLarry the inventor however is no good at this pranking business and is seen as a screw up amongst the Barberbarians (whose specialty is giving bad haircuts).
After a montage of MacLarry’s failures he is ditched as the Barberbarians go on a quest to find the cheese of Attila. A weapon so deadly it could win the war for the Barberbarians. MacLarry leaves the town believing he can find a better life with his hero Archimedes. (Who sadly is barely in the episode.)
Basically from this point on Larry needs to learn how his God given inventing skills can be used to change the town for the better. The Story is good, you’ won’t be terribly surprised. I couldn’t help but notice this is one of the few eps where Mike Nawrocki does more voices than Phil Vicher. The silly Song was fun. (link) but besides that the other songs felt a bit forced and out of place specifically the one sung by MacLarry’s dad.
All in all not too heavy on the Bible and or God. Well not in a meaningful way it’s kinda just mentioned in passing with no lasting impression. But the episode was fun and worth maybe a good……6.5 out of 10 in my opinion.
